No one would answer our call from the room. Even called SOS and still no response. This was not only at 11pm at night.

Food was pretty good however we were one of two tables in the restaurant for dinner, the fella we ordered with was nice. Waited an extremely long time after we had finished our meal to get our plates cleared and wanted to order coffees, after 45 minutes we actually asked one of the staff to come over and clear it for us which honestly feels a horrible thing to do. There were about 3-4 staff members, 2 at the bar talking and the other 2 standing around, after we got our plates taken away we ordered 3 coffees and a cheesecake. After a further 30 minutes we noticed our coffees had been sitting on the bar while the 2 members of staff were still talking directly next to the tray of drinks. A waitress then came out of the kitchen approaching us and said the chef heard her incorrectly and had made the wrong flavour of cheesecake and asked if we still wanted it. By this point we were quite fed up and pointed out our cold drinks that had been left and decided to just pay our bill and leave.

Rooms were nice but overnight got absolutely freezing, couldn't leave my baby in the crib and had to bring her into the bed which I hate, everytime you go to the bathroom the light shines directly on the bed waking everyone up. Nice view of the course though.

Christmas Break We why with the family for Christmas. Staff extremely welcoming and helpful at all times. Rooms were of excellent size and well stocked. One of our rooms was a requested accessible room which again was well appointed and a good size. Food was excellent with good portions.

Was so looking forward to a lovely Xmas day lunch with family. Our first impression was staff inexperienced and meal very overpriced. The mangement should ask themselves if they want to offer a lovely cosy Christmas experience for so many people then they should ensure that it is worthy of a 4 star hotel. They fell far short. So disappointed.

Had a great overnight. Beautiful place, beautiful location. Staff were excellent & friendly. Place was immaculate. Food was delicious, hot & best fish ive eaten anywhere. Definitely recommend for a visit.

Room had a leaking toilet ,could not be fixed at the time ,we were offered a smaller room at no extra cost ,we declined and stayed in the superior room we paid for .

Stunning hotel in ideal location, what makes it special was the staff. I’ve been in many hotels but I’ve never felt so welcome. We have 2 little ones 4 and 7…. They couldn’t hade done enough. Proper Scottish hospitality!! Not one to leave reviews unless it’s really good or bad.

I attended a wedding here at the weekend. From check in to checking out, the staff went the extra mile to ensure that my stay was the best it could be. Friendly and helpful staff, nice clean rooms with lovely little extras in the room and all in a lovely location. Would highly recommend this hotel

Has been extensively refurbished by the new owners. Spa and leisure club will be finished December. Staff all friendly and attentive. Highly recommended

Visited for the first time in a while. Used to go frequently as liked the ambience layout and seating comfort in leisure areas and had great location views and facilities. Very quiet on my visit during the week about lunchtime . Still holding up on presentation. Lounge area just had a refit which is not up to scratch. Quality larger couches and tables removed and replaced by what really is a bistro. Narrow fixed seating areas high stools at small fixed drinking bays. Not really what one would want in this establishment seems out of place. Regular elderly lady in arriving and seeing new set up left without staying. Young staff needing training serving highly priced drinks without the basic knowledge of standards. Ie. Coffee with no side biscuits etc. Meal average . Disappointed as one of my favourite hotels in the past .

On arrival we were given a huge room overlooking golf course which we appreciated. No WiFi in room, receptionist not overly helpful. Another guest also complained about WiFi and they had been there for 3 days! Young receptionist in the evening was very helpful and welcoming. Drinks at bar very good albeit pricey as you would expect. Great location for walks. Beach, Town. Room only so didn't use restaurant and pool was temporarily out of use for which we were given a discount. Overall we had a lovely stay and will return. .

1st time here, but will be back. Junior suite (room 102) great sea view. Large comfortable room, very clean and excellent value with breakfast included. Food is not fine dining, but very nice quality and service.

We arrived and found our room near and today; however, there was no internet Since I am working on this trip, it was extremely difficult. The front desk was no help at all. My sisters room did have great internet so the routers were bad on our wing. All in all they could do some little things to make the hotel first class. For a world renown golf course, the hotel is tired and needs work.

I went there 5:00 this morning and the night portal was very helpful and gave me a pint of water to drink as I couldn't buy water anywhere near locally as everywhere was closed and he actually made me a nice cup of coffee to take away with me as well not appreciate Liam was his name very nice chap he's got a great future ahead of him and I will not forget him. As for the hotel I've never stayed in it I only pick people up in my taxi from there to Sanders or vice versa I wish I could afford to stay in it but I can't on a taxi salary lol that's for the other folks I was just staying my lane. Welcome to scotland skintville employees lol the guests are pleasure to pick up as they always give you a good tips of times I wish they'd give more tips but they know what they're doing. By the way before you go to be treated like luxury I walked into the hallway for you next to the desk and that's pure luxury log burning fire out everything was amazing I can sit there all day I may do it one day actually just sitting in a beer and pay the extra just look at that for a nice beautiful room I wish I could see one of the rooms and experience other experience I know my auntie goes swimming there I need to find out because the public can go in for a swim if they wish and you will pay like a membership fee you have to find out from the hotel itself has recently been bought over by a hedge fund in America I know one of the gentlemen's who bought it was a bonus for me as I'm a taxi driver comes back next year and they all just ask for me lol but what I really need to get together after buying a taxi service named after the hotel run by the hotel and executive service put in place or a shuttle service from here to Sanders even though Holocaust they've got like kind of money from the beach to St Andrews for any big championships and that would take a lot a lot of traffic off the roads and going back and forth along the river Tay and back up again on their side to go to St Andrew. It's all single track roads to Americans if you ask them the roads are wider than I was and some people get quite scared with me picking them up 🤣🤣🚕 💨💨💨 us crazy British people you don't know anything better obviously Americans are spoilt with their wider highways! I've ever got the chance to stay there I'll definitely put up a post but I highly recommend it The staff are very nice very festival even help them approve man like me up to the mixers man in the world so doesn't matter how much money you've got You're always made welcome and that's the main thing and everything's the same as they get They just pay more for it because you don't have the money because they don't even ask the price that's why I stay in Mynown skintville lane oh how the other half live 🧐 oh I'm not jealous at all oh no not jealous at all. 😆

We were very lucky with the room we chose it was perfect for us. The service from check in to check out and the dining room staff were excellent. This was a very good experience this year and we look forward to our next visit.

Large hotel (and championship golf course) on Carnoustie seafront. We stayed in a superior double with golf course view, on the first floor. Our room was nice (clean and comfortable), and we enjoyed a good nights sleep with no noise to be heard from outside or other guests. Our breakfast experience in the morning wasn’t so good. We found the Cooked Scottish Breakfast to be overcooked and quite greasy and therefore wouldn’t recommend it. Also, this hotel does not offer a pre-bookable ‘early check in’ so if you NEED your room to be available before 3pm it can’t be guaranteed. When I enquired (4 months in advance), I was told they did not offer an early check in service and therefore could not guarantee rooms to be available early, but would put a note in the system with my request. However, despite asking twice after our arrival at 12 midday, our room was not ready until 3pm… Even Travelodge offers early check in! In summary, nice hotel but could do better.
